The world’s greatest John Lennon tribute act, Javier Parisi, is set to perform the greatest hits of John Lennon and The Beatles in the country. The first leg of his tour in the Philippines will be happening on July 15, 2023, Saturday at the Music Museum.

The concert aims to celebrate the profound and sentimental impact of Lennon’s music through Parisi’s world-class impersonation and interpretation.

According to Parisi, “The concert is not a chronological concert, but you’re going to find songs from older days, psychedelic, and John Lennon’s solo songs.”

He’s also globally renowned and endorsed by John Lennon’s family and inner circle. Parisi will be headlining a show for the retro and newly schooled fans of The Beatles’ founding member and the legacy that he has left in the music industry.

While Parisi and his family never had the chance to see The Beatles live, he shared a story that was closer to living the dream. He said, “My life changed in 2019 when I met Helen Anderson and I was close to Julian Lennon, for me it was amazing. In 2018 I wore a John Lennon leather cap, it was from Helen Anderson. She was a close friend of John. She said, could you please take a picture and send it to me. So, I took a picture and sent it to her. She said ‘Oh my God, you look so much like John.’ And she posted it on Instagram. When she posted it, Julian said, ‘Oh my God I love him, he looks so much like John…’ And he started following me. And the next day I received a call from Helen Anderson telling me, did you know that’s Julian? I said yes.”

Anderson said to Julian, who is the son of Beatles member John Lennon and his first wife, Cynthia, that Javier’s an artist, and not a crazy man who thinks he’s John Lennon. Aside from Julian, Parisi was also introduced to Paul McCartney. Those encounters gave him a sort of blessing to start a career that will involve impersonating John Lennon.

Since then, because of Parisi’s pitch-perfect copy of Lennon’s look and sound, Parisi made a mark with his incredible impersonation that reached to cities all over the world, and even ended up performing in musicals produced by the Lennon estate.

Parisi also detailed what to expect in his concert. “Aside from the performance, this event also serves as a celebration of Lennon and The Beatles’s unparalleled legacy in utilizing music as an agent of social change.”

His concert at the Music Museum this July 15 is only the first leg of his Philippine tour. To know more about where you’ll see him next, you can visit his website at javierparisi.com/concerts.
