Chie Filomeno shares two cents on getting plastic surgery: ‘Wala naman pong masama’

Kapamilya actress Chie Filomeno fiercely called out her basher on the social media platform TikTok earlier this week after being judged about getting plastic surgery in the past.

She maintained that she sees no harm in enhancing one's self as long as it doesn’t harm anyone along the way.

It was in 2019 when Chie underwent a procedure to improve her overall look.

“Women empowerment [ba] yan? Ineencourage niyo mga kababaihan na magparetoke buong mukha kesa iembrace [yung] natural na ganda ng Pinay lol,” one comment of Chie’s basher said.

The 26-year-old Kapamilya celebrity defended herself and others who had gone through the same procedure. Chie added that enhancing their beauty is something that boosted her confidence and made her happy.

“Wala po tayong ineencourage at wala po akong sinasabi na ito ang tamang gawin, ito ang dapat gawin. At tsaka, wala naman pong masama sa pagpaparetoke or sa pageenhance sa kung anong meron ka. Kung ito ang tingin mo magpapasaya sayo, magbibigay confidence sayo, why not do it? Wala ka namang natatapakan na tao, wala kang nasasaktan,” she said.

Chie quipped that it was her own money she used in the procedure which was why she pointed out that the basher shouldn’t have a say on what she would do with her body.

The Beach Bros actress encouraged her basher to widen their perspective on plastic surgery instead of hating the procedure.

“Ang tanda tanda na po natin, alam na po natin kung ano ang tama sa mali. At ang ginagawa mo, ayan ang mali. Parang dinedegrade mo lahat ng taong nagparetoke, parang ang sama sama naming tao for like doing something that would make us happy ng wala kaming tinatapakan na tao. I’m not saying this is the right thing to do pero sana mas lawakan pa natin yung understanding natin sa topic na to,” she said.

She previously opened up about the procedure on Tonight With Boy Abunda back in 2019.

“Tito Boy, there’s nothing wrong in enhancing something that you have. It’s a choice, it’s your own choice as long as wala kang natatapakang tao, go with it,” she previously answered.
