Even if she’s one of the country’s most popular teen stars, Dirty Linen actress Francine Diaz said that she is very simple when it comes to defining her personal style.

“I’m very classic. Siyempre ayoko rin naman mag-stay lang sa iisang style or kung ano yung nakasanayan sa akin ng mga tao. Gusto ko rin mag-elevate talaga with my looks kung paano nila ako makita and  especially with my style. So I’m very happy sa mangyayaring transformation sa style ko with Keds,” she shared during the Keds new product launch held last May 24 in Makati City.

After starting off in showbiz as a child actress in 2012 when she was only eight years old, it was only when she starred in the 2018 ABS-CBN family drama series Kadenang Ginto for her role as Cassandra “Cassie” Mondragon that she got her biggest break in the industry.

The teen actress revealed that she only started considering herself as stylish during the past few years.

“Siguro na-develop lang through the years. Especially ngayong nagdalaga na ako. Parang recently lang din nag-evolve yung style ko. Siguro sa stylist ko, sinusunod ko yung mga advice nila when it comes to fashion. Sobrang collaborative ko and kung hindi ako kumportable sa gusto nilang suotin ko, iniiba rin naman nila ng mas better pa.

“And I’m very, very basic when it comes to shoes. Like yung kulay lang ng mga sapatos ko is always white or black kaya I’m very, very excited to work with Keds kasi I’m sure they will help me to elevate my style pagdating sa sapatos,” she added.

Even though she was supposed to be part of the recently concluded Star Magic All-Star Games as one of the featured muses, Francine revealed that she was not feeling well enough to attend the event last weekend because of all her prior showbiz commitments.

“I’m very much a workaholic (laughs). Super. Actually sabi ng doctor nasobrahan sa work. Hindi ko naman ginusto magkasakit. Kahit naman sino di ba? But I’m very glad now na nakakabalik na ako kahit papaano sa work. Actually kakagaling lang namin sa Zamboanga. I had an event with Seth (Fedelin) and I’m very, very happy  na makita ulit yung supporters namin . Pero I’m okay na ngayon,” she shared.

During the event, Francine once again showed her down-to-earth personality by sharing with the press why she doesn’t mind being seen on camera wearing the same clothes unlike other celebrities her age.

“Okay lang sa akin na nag-uulit actually. Hindi naman yun napapansin eh as long as mini-mix mo siya with other clothes. Ako kasi ang number one rule sa akin is you can never go wrong with the basics. I always go for neutral colors. Kasi yun din yung magandang bumabagay sa akin, sa kulay ng skin ko and siguro with my looks na rin,” she said.

When asked what article of clothing she would not be okay with wearing in front of the camera at the moment, the Star Magic artist admitted she is not yet ready for the world to see her in sexy swimwear just yet.

“Bikini (laughs). For now hindi pa po. I have pero hindi yung revealing. Siyempre yung pang-swimming lang na for my eyes only (laughs).”
