The respective agencies of BLACKPINK’s Jennie and BTS’ V have briefly responded to the dating rumors surrounding the two.

This comes after a man who identified himself as a freelance journalist uploaded videos on social media of what appears to be Jennie and V on date in Paris, France.

The dating rumors between the two global superstars quickly went viral on social media earlier this week.

The video that surfaced showed a couple holding hands as they walked the busy streets of Paris. The outfit that the people were wearing in the video were similar to what was seen in the photos Jennie and V shared on their respective Instagram accounts.

This led their fans to believe that the couple are secretly seeing each other. Fans have various reactions to the dating rumors with majority being positive about the two idols’ alleged relationship.

YG Entertainment (BLACKPINK’s agency) and HYBE (BTS’ agency) gave their official statements on their artists.

The two agencies shared in a report by K-Pop news website Soompi that “it is difficult to check [regarding this manner]” as they don’t have anything to say about Jennie and V’s personal affairs.

The dating rumors between Jennie and V started over a year ago after netizens claimed that they saw the two together on Jeju Island in South Korea. Several photos which seemed to be the two idols holding hands were uploaded on social media.

YG Entertainment previously responded to the dating allegations with the same response––they had “nothing to say” on the matter. The agency assured the fans that they will be giving a different response if there are changes or updates given by their artist personally.

“We will inform you if we have a different response to share,” they told the press.

Meanwhile, Jennie is scheduled to attend the Cannes Film Festival which is held in France for the screening of the HBO series, The Idol, where she is part of the cast.
