Claudine Barretto recently went viral after she shared a video of her visiting the grave of her ex-boyfriend and former onscreen partner Rico Yan.

Last year, Claudine reunited with her late ex-boyfriend Rico Yan’s mother Mrs. Teresita Yan, after joining her and her family, and a handful of fans in commemorating the actor's 20th death anniversary.

Earlier this month, Claudine shared a video post where she can be seen visiting Rico’s mausoleum located at the Manila Memorial Park in Parañaque last April 9. She can also be seen greeting her former reel-and-real partner a happy Easter.

In the post, one of Rico’s older siblings Tina reacted to Claudine’s post by commenting: “Thank you for visiting him again, Claude! See you in September! Love you!”

Claudine replied favorably to the online invite, sayingL “I miss u Tinee. l [will] call u tom. Give my luv to the kiddos & to Chad. l [will] be there beside u in September. Can’t wait. I’m so excited.”

Earlier this year, Claudine revealed how she still makes it a point to greet her late boyfriend on what would have been his 48th birthday last March.

The 43-year-old actress even shared online the cake he bought for Rico along with the caption: "Happy happy Birthday in Heaven Ry. You will forever be missed, loved & Remembered🙏”

In a 2021 interview on the vlog of her best friend Janelle Jamer, Claudine revealed that her love for Rico has never gone away.

Rico passed away at the age of 27 on March 2002 while on vacation during Holy Week at the Dos Palmas Resort in Palawan.

His official cause of death was released as cardiac arrest due to acute hemorrhagic pancreatitis (bangungot).

Before his passing, he and Claudine had broken up weeks after dating for four years. The couple starred in romantic films like Got 2 Believe and Dahil Mahal Na Mahal Kita, among others. Meanwhile, one of their most memorable TV projects is the iconic Mula Sa Puso.
