YG Entertainment, the entertainment label of South Korean singer and BLACKPINK member Rosé, released a statement to the public that they will be pursuing legal action against those spreading rumors about their artist.

YG Entertainment made sure to get their message across to those who intend to defame Rosé. Their statement came after a photo of the BLACKPINK member was uploaded by one of her friends, Italian fashion designer Riccardo Tisci.

Some netizens noticed that the table in the photo had several items which included an ash tray that was mistaken for drug paraphernalia. The fashion designer has since then deleted the photo on his account but multiple copies have already been uploaded on various social media platforms.

“We are taking legal action against acts that violate the human rights of and defame our agency artist. We are currently monitoring those who created and spread the rumors, and will take strong legal action in the future without any leniency or settlement,” YG Entertainment said in a statement.

Meanwhile, fans of BLACKPINK came to the defense of Rosé on social media. Some of the fans showed their support for their idol by leaving comments on her Instagram account.

“Stay strong, Chaeng don't care about this negative news, we all love you and trust you. Have fun in Coachella and show them you are the greatest,” one netizen said.

“Don't care about these words because they are jealous of your success,” another fan added.

BLACKPINK is set to headline the music festival Coachella this year. They previously performed in the festival back in 2019 which made them the first-ever female K-Pop act to perform on the Coachella stage.

The quartet recently held a concert in the country as part of their Born Pink World Tour. The concert saw success as it was attended by thousands of their Filipino fans.
