Bretman Rock is honoring his Filipino roots with his new tattoo.

The Filipino-American sensation took to Instagram on Wednesday, March 29, to show off his new ink, which was an intricate tribal tattoo on his neck and lower back. Aside from the ink, Bretman also shared a glimpse of the actual “tatak” or batok ceremony, which he described as a "truly unforgettable" experience.

“I can’t wait to share all about it with you guys one day. But for now it’s between Me and Lilang who I always talk about in all my interviews and you can learn more about her on my book. Oh and my loved ones of course,” he wrote, adding a Philippine flag and blood emoji.

Asked by a fan whether the tattooing was painful, Bretman said, “Not more than my other tattoos with machine.”

Bretman was recently in the Philippines for the book signing of his new memoir, You’re That Bitch & Other Cute Lessons About Being Unapologetically Yourself. The book features a collection of essays about Bretman’s life — from his childhood in the Philippines, his experience as a first-generation immigrant, and his journey to becoming a social media sensation at the young age of 14.

In a post shortly after his visit, Bretman — who is based in Hawaii — described the Philippines as his home.

“This is all because of a little Filipino Bakla that dreamed he was gonna be artista one day. And he was going to make it happen one way or another. That little boy planted so many seeds for me so that I can flourish today and I’m forever doing everything for him and because of him,” he said.

“I’m literally in tears every morning that I’ve been here this week,” he continued. “I’m home, this is home and it will forever be HOME. Thank you for everything Philippines you have changed my life forever.. YOU’RE THAT BITCH ALWAYS AND FOREVER.”
