Andi Eigenmann cites ‘holistic approach’ in 60-pound weight loss journey

Andi Eigenmann shared with her followers how started losing weight as well as the approach which helped her achieve it. 

The 32-year-old actress admitted that she has been making better choices with her diet, which she said has helped her a lot in losing weight faster.



Andi revealed that it took her two years to shed 60 pounds of weight. 

“I get a lot of comments saying I lost weight SO FAST, but it actually took me 2 years to lose 60lbs! I feel like it seemed like it flew by so quickly because I set a limit and set new goals each time. This way, it didn't feel like I was doing it forever, resulting in feeling like a failure,” she wrote.

Andi shared that food shouldn’t be an enemy in losing weight but noted that it should help the person in achieving his/her fitness goals. She also said that she hopes to be a certified nutritionist so that she could give more help to others who want to undergo change towards a more sustainable fitness journey. 

“This is how I'm able to go about my fitness journey in a sustainable way. I'm in the hopes of becoming a certified nutritionist one day, and in everything I have learned so far, a good tip to know what meals to lean towards: Eat the rainbow! + CARBS are not the enemy,” she added.

The Kapamilya actress also gave her followers a glimpse of what she eats in a day which she said helped her stay in the body type she’s currently in. She also advised them to listen to their bodies in order not to torture them during the process. 

“I eat what I want, without being reckless. I lean towards the healthier options but I still give in to my cravings, even if they are "junk",” she shared.

For Andi, her fitness journey is a story of the choices she made to avoid the diet trends on social media. Apart from following her diet, she added how exercise helped her achieve her overall physique.

“My approach on this whole fitness journey is holistic, in such a way that all aspects of my well-being go hand-in-hand. So while we now know that 'losing the weight' is mostly about food, it will definitely work way more if your entire lifestyle goes with it. Good exercise and a great mindset to go along with it should do the trick,” she ended her post.
