The official trailer of Gerald Anderson and Kylie Padilla’s romance drama film, Unravel: A Swiss Side Love Story, has been finally released.

The almost three minute-long trailer was uploaded on the YouTube channel of producer Mavx Productions on Thursday evening, March 16.

Kylie plays Lucy, a woman seeking assisted voluntary death in Switzerland while going through a painful divorce. There, she meets Noah Brocker (Gerald), who convinces her to keep going by showing her that her life, after all, is still worth living.

“Believe in LOVE. Believe in LIFE,” Mavx Productions wrote in the caption of the trailer.

Directed by RC de Los Reyes, Unravel “puts forward the practice of assisted voluntary death, which is a legal practice in certain European countries. Tackling life, death, and everything in between, the film hopes to reawaken the weary souls of people no matter their status in their lives,” according to a press release.

The film is an official entry to the inaugural Summer Metro Manila Film Festival to be held this coming April. Aside from Unravel, the following are the entries to this year’s festival:

•Gladys Reyes, Gina Pareño, and Julio Diaz; a crime drama directed by Brillante Mendoza

•a romance-comedy starring Alex Gonzaga, Angeline Quinto, and Aljur Abrenica; directed by Fifth Solomon

•Yung Libro Sa Napanood Ko, starring Bela Padilla and Yoo Min Gon; a romance film by Bela

•Love You Long Time, a romance film featuring Carlo Aquino and Eisel Serrano, under the direction of JP Habac

•About Us But Not About Us, starring Romnick Sarmenta and Elijah Canlas, under the direction of Jun Robles Lana

•Here Comes The Groom, starring Enchong Dee, Keempee de Leon, Awra Briguela, Maris Racal, Gladys Reyes, and Eugene Domingo; a comedy film directed by Chris Martinez

•Musical film Kahit Maputi Na Ang Buhok Ko: The Music of Rey Valera, directed by Joven Tan, starring RK Bagatsing and featuring Aljur Abrenica, Christopher de Leon, Lotlot de Leon, Ariel Rivera, Gelli de Belen, and Rosanna Roces

•The Summer Metro Manila Film Festival will run from April 8 to April 18.
