Singer Lyca Gairanod shared that a popular social media platform became instrumental in her meeting her non-showbiz boyfriend Kyle Walle.

In an episode of Magandang Buhay, Lyca relayed that they first interacted on the popular social media app TikTok.

"Actually, ito nga po ‘yung nakakatawa. Hindi niya ako kilala as an artist. Nakita ko po siya sa TikTok kasi dumaan siya sa [For You page] ko noong pa-scroll scroll lang [ako]," Lyca said.

The singer commented on Kyle's post and days after she received a message from him.

“Tapos ‘yung [post] niya, may quotes siya na, ‘Di ko naiintindihan kung bakit,’ so nagcomment ako ng parang sad. Tapos after mga two days, hindi naman ako ano-ano, nagso-scroll lang ako ulit tapos may nag-[direct message] po sa’kin ng hi. Tapos ano ko lang [sa kanya], ‘Yo,’” she revealed.

Lyca shared that Kyle did not court her immediately and they chose to first get to know each other.

"May sinabi po siya na bago siya manligaw [sa akin], gusto niya po akong makita in person and then ma-meet po 'yung family ko,” she stated.

Kyle is Lyca's first boyfriend. The singer shared that they even had to be in a long-distance relationship as Kyle went to the US.

"Parang first experience lang po sa akin kasi siyempre, first boyfriend ko siya, di ba? And nag-promise po ako sa sarili ko na hindi ako [makikipag-relasyon sa isang taong malayo sa’kin], kasi mahirap. Pero ngayon, natutuwa ako. Hanggang sa paguwi niya, goods kami," she said.

It was back in December when Lyca announced her relationship with Kyle on social media.

In an interview with PEP last year, Lyca shared that they officially became a couple in March 2022 but it was only after the singer celebrated her 18th birthday in November 2022 when she made their relationship public.

Lyca rose to popularity when she became the grand champion of The Voice Kids Philippines in 2014.

In 2015, she released her solo album Puede Nang Mangarap.
