The pair shared the exciting news with their fans on Thursday (March 9), saying they are expecting a baby girl. The two are already parents to a young son, Cooper John, who was born in August 2019.

“And just like that, another bundle of joy is being added to the fam clan,” Gwen wrote in her Instagram post, which showed a video of their visit to an OB-GYN clinic. The actress, 32, gave a glimpse of her growing baby bump as well as a sonogram of her child with David.

In another post, Gwen shared a photo of herself with David while showing off her pregnant belly. 

“Finding out the gender today, yeehee!!” she said.

Following their announcement, friends and fans of the couple congratulated them on the milestone, including Gwen’s sister-in-law Sam Pinto and host Iya Villania.

“Woohooooooooo congratulations you guysssssss,” wrote Sam, who is married to David’s twin brother Anthony Semerad.

“Oh em!!! Congratulations!!” added Iya.

Gwen and David were married in a civil ceremony in France on February 13, 2021, after over a year of being engaged. They tied the knot for a second time in a church wedding in Batangas on December 12, 2022.

The couple has been together since 2018. 

Gwen starred on ABS-CBN’s 2016 romance series Be My Lady as Sophie Elizalde. She also played young Divina in the afternoon drama Nang Ngumiti Ang Langit in 2019. On the big screen, Gwen was featured in the hit epic war film Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral as Remedios in 2018.

Meanwhile, David is a professional basketball player, model, and host. He currently plays for the Santa Rosa Laguna Lions of the Pilipinas Super League. Both he and his twin brother appeared as houseguests on the hit reality show Pinoy Big Brother during its fourth main season in 2011.
