“Ang daming nagsasabi ngayon ng kung ano-ano tungkol sa bagong nilabas ko na kanta, and ine-expect ko naman na marami ding magagalit at hindi makakintindi,” singer and content creator Toni Fowler calmly said on her TikTok account.

Her newest song “MPL” and its accompanying music video shocked audiences and drew mixed reactions. While there were some who praised her for having the guts to do such a risqué song, there are still others who frowned upon the kind of content she released.

She also responded to allegations that she made XBreezy Babe Papi, who is currently pregnant, drink alcohol in the video.

Papi already released a statement on her social media account about the matter. She included photos and screenshots of conversations proving that no alcohol was actually consumed.

Toni also shared the photos debunking the allegations. In her response, she shared stills captured from CCTV footage which showed tequila being drained from the bottles and being replaced by a non-alcoholic drink.

She felt that things were blown out of proportion so quickly that they hardly had time to explain their side.

Toni also took the opportunity to clarify several issues raised. First was that Papi really wanted to be part of the music video and that no harm came to her or her baby while doing the video. Second was that the girls of the Toro family were not forced to participate.

“Trabaho po ‘yun,” said Toni.

She also responded to the comments about her song and video being inappropriate for young audiences. Toni agreed that the content was not for their consumption and should be restricted to mature audiences only.

However, she believes that the responsibility lies with the adults and parents who should be monitoring what their children are watching and listening to.

The song and video was intended for a specific audience, and she urged those who did not relate to it to simply not watch or listen to it.
