Kathryn Bernardo achieved a new milestone on Instagram as the Kapamilya actress has reached 20 million followers on the social media platform.

She's the second Philippine celebrity to achieve the said feat after Anne Curtis.

Fans online were quick to congratulate the actress for the new milestone.

"Happy 20 million Instagram followers Kathryn Bernardo!" one fan wrote.

"Happy 20 million followers on Instagram Asia’s Superstar and Box Office Queen, daserv!" another fan wrote.

It has been a remarkable year for Kathryn's career.

Her recent movie A Very Good Girl reached ₱100 million in gross earnings.

"100 million?!!! You have no idea how much this gives us hope for the Philippine cinema. Thank you so much for all your love and support! 🙏🏻🥹 Congratulations, Team AVGG!😍" she posted on her Instagram in October.

The film also had its Hollywood premiere last October.

"I'm really nervous and overwhelmed as well but then it's really happening and we are so proud of this film, A Very Good Girl. This is our baby. And our hearts are just overflowing with gratitude and pride to be able to bring a slice of Philippine cinema here in the US and to share it with all of you so thank you so much for the opportunity," she said to the audience at the film premiere in Los Angeles.

In September, Kathryn received the Outstanding Asian Star Award at the Seoul International Drama Awards in Korea for her performance in the Kapamilya series 2 Good 2 Be True.

"When I initially found out about this nomination and recognition for my craft from such an esteemed award-giving body, that itself is already a win for me. But being here tonight to personally receive this award along with my fellow awardees from Asia, I am still overwhelmed. It still feels surreal," she said in her speech.

Kathryn is set to attend this year's Asia Artist Awards at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan on December 14.
