The four members of the K-Pop girl group BLACKPINK have renewed their contracts for group activities with YG Entertainment.

The agency announced on Wednesday, December 6 that Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa will remain under their management.

"The board has completed a resolution about renewing the contracts with BLACKPINK's four members," YG said as reported by The Korea Times.

"After careful discussion, we have renewed the contracts with BLACKPINK members for their group activities based on deep trust," the agency added.

Yang Hyun-suk, founder and former head of the agency, remarked that they will continue supporting the group as they navigate the global music scene.

"I am happy to maintain our relationship with BLACKPINK. We will do our utmost to help BLACKPINK shine even brighter in the global music market," the music executive said. 

Meanwhile, YG shared that they are still "negotiating" the contracts for the individual activities of the members.

BLACKPINK instantly became a top trending topic on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) following the announcement. 

"Yes will always scream BLACKPINK FOUREVER!" one fan tweeted.

"See you in the next tour BLACKPINK!" one fan posted.

BLACKPINK marked their debut under YG Entertainment in August 2016. They achieved the historic feat of being the first South Korean female group to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with their second album, Born Pink.

Some of their notable hits include "Ddu-Du Ddu-Du," "How You Like That," "Kill This Love," and "Pink Venom," among others.

In August this year, BLACKPINK celebrated their 7th anniversary.

"Thank you, BLACKPINK for being such a blessing in my life. I have really been able to experience everything and more than what I have ever dreamed of growing up as an aspiring artist," Rose posted on her Instagram page on their anniversary.

She added: "Thank you, thank you and thank you a thousand times. BLACKPINK, Blinks, Teddy, YG entertainment and everyone else who believed in @blackpinkofficial for the past seven years. My heart is so full."

Meanwhile, Lisa wrote: "Happy 7th anniversary to me and my 3 amazing girls @blackpinkofficial 7 is one of my favorite numbers and I hope this year will be a lucky one for us 💕 Love you girls and blinks so so much💫."

On her Instagram page, Jennie said: "7 Years with @blackpinkofficial 🤍 I love us I love BLACKPINK I love Blinks."

Meanwhile Jisoo stated: "Happy 7th anniversary BLINK and BLACKPINK🖤💖BLACKPINK is always in your area. LOVE YOU 😘."
