Anne Curtis becomes first PH celebrity to hit 20 million followers on Instagram

Kapamilya star Anne Curtis has become the first celebrity based in the Philippines to achieve 20 million followers on Instagram.

Following this big milestone on the social media platform, the actress took to social media to pen a message for her followers.

The It's Showtime host was in Los Angeles, California for a concert when she hit the milestone of having 20 million followers on Instagram.

"20 million of you here my dearest IG fam! What a way to end this LA tour. Big kisses to all of you!! And a big Thank you @davidkomalondon for this Mother of Pearl look. Dying! 💜 Sending love and light to everyone 💖 Happy Sunday indeed. #20MilliANNE," she said.

Fans of Anne were quick to congratulate her via social media. 

"Happy to be part of 20m!!!❤️" one fan wrote.

"Congrats Anne! Happy 20M. [You] deserve [it] and more blessings," another fan commented.

Recently, Anne was also named one of the top Southeast Asian influencers during the spring-summer 2024 season, according to a report from the marketing platform Lefty.

"As the world looks towards K-pop for the next rising stars, it’s essential to recognize the emerging talent in Southeast Asia. From actors to musicians, notable celebrities are making their mark and captivating audiences with their unique styles and stunning performances," Lefty posted on social media recently.

According to the marketing platform, Anne generated $2.2M EMV (Earned Media Value) during fashion week.

Earned Media Value is a metric employed in influencer marketing to measure the worth of content shared on social media platforms.

Another milestone Anne recently achieved, demonstrating her regional influence and popularity, was the announcement that she will have her own wax figure at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong.

"I’m so happy it came at the right time. It truly is an honor. To have this dream come true, I’m grateful and very thankful to Madame Tussauds for choosing me," Anne said.
