Known most popularly in the late 80s for his satirical Mongolian-inspired character “Mr. Shooli” who would comment on everything from local pop culture to politics in his Catholic Mass Media Awards-winning TV show “Mongolian Barbeque,” actor and director Jun Urbano passed away last December 2, Saturday, at the age of 84.
His son Chris confirmed to ABS-CBN News that the cause of death is a ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm.

His last public appearances include the Dr. Jose R Perez Memorial Award last April and the Gawad Plaridel Award, which is considered the highest award from the University of the Philippines and whose awarding ceremony was held at the UP Diliman which was given just last month.
