Actress Iza Calzado shared how she finally embraced her "mom bod" after trying hard to work on it.

In her Instagram post, the Kapamilya star shared some photos captured during the events she attended throughout the year.

The 41-year-old new mom penned how she is grateful about taking a new journey as a mother to Deia However, she sometimes couldn't help but be overwhelmed, especially by her postpartum body.

“This year had me embracing a new role, motherhood, and having to 'balance' it with my previous life. I am telling you that it’s a LOT! It hasn’t been easy. Even with all the help, it gets so overwhelming at times,” Iza wrote.

She continued: “One of the most challenging things about a new mother’s life is dealing with our postpartum body. I have had to constantly remind myself of how worthy and enough I am at this stage of my life.”

The actress also shared that even having "the body love revolution journey," she still finds it very tough to have her body change.

Iza also wrote how attending events, especially balls, made her do a very strict diet to maintain her figure or to lose weight.

“Sharing photos of some of the most mentally challenging times — ball season! In the past, any time there were projects or events such as these, I would go on a very strict diet, even do a lot of shortcuts like juicing or fasting etc, and really kill myself at the gym just to lose weight,” she said.

The actress then shared how she finally started to appreciate her new body and at the same time, stay healthy for herself and for her loved ones.

“This time around, I chose to just continue eating healthy and clocking in my usual workout hours (adjusted to my motherhood realities) and reminded myself that no matter my size, I was and will always be enough. I am whole,” she heartfully said.

She also expressed her gratitude to people who have been supporting and helping her along her journey.

“Grateful for everyone who helped make me feel more than enough for all my work related events. You guys have no idea how your creativity, generosity and support helped this mama through this year,” she said.

Iza ended her message with a little shout-out to her cute daughter, who made her feel the true beauty and power of her body.

“Most grateful for my child, Deia Amihan, for making me realize that my body was made not merely for aesthetic reasons but to fulfill a purpose so big, no weighing scale or tape measure can begin to comprehend. This is my body’s true beauty and power. ❤️,” she expressed.

“thanks for sharing!!!! ❤️so many moms are also struggling with this,” a netizen remarked.

“I get it. Even when people tell us we look amazing, there’s still that tiny voice inside our heads that tells us what we are desperately trying not to acknowledge. But know this, what your body is going through is an amazing thing - it’s a gift denied to many. Enjoy all the changes and phases because those changes have allowed a human being to come to be. You’re a mother and what an experience that is. And by the way, you are gorgeous just the way you are,” a fan also expressed.
