Megastar Sharon Cuneta opened up about some of the regrets she had with her marriage to Gabby Concepcion and her relationship with their daughter KC in an interview with the King of Talk Boy Abunda. The singer-actress admitted to Boy that she never imagined that her first family would break up.

This comes after her successful reunion concert last October with Gabby where KC made a surprise appearance.

Sharon recalled how KC’s surprise performance made her realize what could’ve been their lives if they didn’t part ways. She shared that they “lost so much” which made her emotional seeing those possibilities during the concert.

“We could not have lost so much. We could have had a good life with the three of us because Gabby and I, we’re okay. But things happened, and up until now, it pinches me a lot, kasi bilang nanay kahit anong bigay mong materyal na bagay, ang gusto ng bata ay magkasama yung magulang,” she shared.

The Megastar added that she should’ve stayed single after her separation with Gabby as she didn’t want to include innocent people––her three other children––in the mix-up of things.

“That family should have remained a family. I did not imagine that that family would break up. But then I wouldn’t have Kakie, Miel, and Miguel, but that’s another thing. Maybe I should have stayed alone because parang nagdamay ako ng apat na kaluluwang inosente KC, Frankie, Miel, and Miguel,” she said.

“My life is so complicated, and it might get more complicated. I just wish for my children — whom I love more than life itself — I just wish I didn’t have to drag them into my very complicated existence,” she continued.

The 57-year-old singer-actress then disclosed that there are times that members of the family have misunderstandings and fights but she hopes that things will resolve quickly. Sharon didn’t mention what quarrels she was referring to in the interview.

“Let’s just say that when I’m hurt, the kids get hurt. There’s some sibling squabbles, and then the stepfather or the father gets involved until palaki na ng palaki you just have to say ‘Stop.’ Lumaki nang lumaki imbes na maayos. But no matter what, sana naman bago ako mamatay okay na silang lahat,” she closed.
