As one of the stars of the “Mukbang” episode of director Jerrold Tarog in Shake, Rattle, & Roll Extreme, Esnyr Ranollo admitted that the project was an unexpected blessing for him this year.

Actually hindi siya expected kasi during that time, I’ve been through a lot of rejections sa audition for movies and teleseryes. So nung sinabi sa akin ng road manager ko na gumawa ako ng audition tape para dito, hindi na talaga ako nag-expect at that time kasi galing rin ako from a commercial taping kaya medyo pagod, ganun. Pero ginawa ko yung video and nagulat ako nung kinabukasan na-cast na ako, ganun,” he shared with PUSH in an exclusive interview.

Esnyr also shared how he felt during his first shooting day with the talented director in Tagaytay City.

“Siyempre parang medyo na-pressure ako kasi parang seryoso yung aura niya (laughs). But as time passed by, nagiging comfortable na ako kay direk and shinare niya yun sa akin na handpicked niya ako kaya na-flatter ako kasi parang recommended din daw ako ni direk (Ted) Boborol). Kaya super grateful ako na ako yung napili talaga to play the role of Adele kasi reading the script naman parang ako talaga siya, ganun tapos hindi ako nahirapan i-act out kasi natural na ako lang yung nasa script.

"In real life kasi matakutin ako! Actually wala akong napasukan na horror house, isa lang talaga in my life. May vlog kasi so kailangan ko siyang ilaban kasi may camera and all,” he admitted.

Now that he is also getting into showbiz apart from still being a content creator, Esnyr shared how he is able to balance both career paths.

Parang content creating talaga yun.

"The secret siguro is time management. You should know how to manage it and hindi lang dapat tanggap ng tanggap kasi parang may maiiwan talaga at the end. For example, pag tinanggap ko itong mga brands na ito, mawawalan na ako ng time sa iba. Parang ganun. As much as possible, bina-balance ko talaga siya, yung mga movie projects tapos brand projects para may schedule silang lahat,” he explained.

Just like any social media influencer, Esnyr said that he also has his share of critics and bashers online.

“Siyempre naa-affect din ako sa sinasabi nila. Siyempre coming from other people na nagsasabi na, ‘Okay lang yan. But at the end of the day, I’m not born to please naman anyone.

Most of the time, pang-do-dog show lang. Pero feeling ko naman kahit dino-dog show nila ako, mahal nila ako, ganun (laughs),” he shared.
