Kapamilya singer Angeline Quinto posted a clip of herself singing a song from the soundtrack of the movie She's Dating the Gangster after the news broke out that Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla had separated.

Kathryn and Daniel or collectively known as KathNiel headlined the film in 2014.

On her TikTok page, Angeline shared a video of herself singing the song "Till I Met You."

Fans online were quick to react to the video and also expressed their sadness over the separation of KathNiel.

"My favorite Kathniel movie yung She's Dating the Gangster 🥺," one fan wrote.

"My KathNiel heart 💔💔💔😭😭 One of the greatest movies talaga nila tong She's Dating the Gangster! Kahit ilang beses mo pang ulit ulitin hndi nakakasawa!" another fan commented.

On her X (formerly Twitter) page, Angeline also penned a post expressing her sadness over the breakup of the beloved couple.

"Ang sakit naman. 😢 Nakakaiyak Kathniel 😢," Angeline posted.

The singer also shared a screenshot of "Till I Met You" on Spotify as the OST of She's Dating the Gangster and wrote: "I will forever be grateful for this song. Thank you, Kenji and Athena. 😢"

She's Dating the Gangster follows the story of Athena Dizon (played by Kathryn) who devises a scheme to prank Kenji de los Reyes (played by Daniel), the heartthrob and notorious bad boy on campus. In an attempt to make his ex-girlfriend envious, they agree to a "fake relationship, only to discover that their pretend romance leads to genuine feelings, even as they face the risk of drifting apart."

On November 30, Kathryn and Daniel confirmed that they had broken up after 11 years of being in a relationship.

"Like any other relationship, we tried our best to make it work. We've been drifting apart for a while now, and we ultimately had to accept that we can't go back to where we used to be. It just won't be fair to pretend that everything is still the same," Kathryn revealed in an Instagram post.

She added: "These past few months have been tough, but thank you for giving us the time we need to process the pain and finally face the elephant in the room. Our love story began with respect and ended with respect."
