"Ready naman ako anytime."

These were the words of Alden Richards when asked if he is open to do a sequel of his 2019 hit movie Hello, Love, Goodbye with Kathryn Bernardo.

According to a report by Bandera, the actor remarked that he will make time to do the sequel if it gets a go signal.

Alden highlighted though that the decision for the movie to have a sequel rests in the hands of Star Cinema.

"But then again, that’s really up to Star Cinema kasi sila naman 'yung producer and they own the rights of the movie," he shared.

In the movie, Alden played the role of Ethan, a bartender who is about to get his Hong Kong residency. Meanwhile, Kathryn portrayed the role of Joy, a nursing graduate who works as a domestic helper in Hong Kong.

Hello, Love, Goodbye was released in 2019 and became the highest grossing Filipino film of all time with ₱880.6 million worldwide gross revenue.

Back in 2020, Alden also echoed his desire to do a sequel of the movie as he believes that there is still more to the story of Ethan and Joy.

Alden remarked that he considers Hello, Love, Goodbye as a unique take on a Filipino romance film.

I guess isa 'yon sa factors that's why we all wanted more. Kahit ako na si Ethan dun, gusto ko pa eh...Ano'ng next, what's next for our love story, Joy and Ethan's love story," he said.
