Andrea Brillantes, Zaijian Jaranilla, other stars share their 2023 highlights

Andrea Brillantes, Zaijian Jaranilla, Aljon Mendoza, Joao Constancia, and LA Santos are some of the Kapamilya stars who have been extremely busy this year.

In a recent interview with PUSH, these Kapamilya celebrities shared their highlights for 2023 and expressed their gratitude for everything they've received.

Former child star Zaijian Jaranilla expressed his gratitude for all the blessings he has received this year and revealed his hit series Senior High is the highlight of his 2023.

“Pinaka thankful siguro yung blessings na binibigay ng Panginoon every year,” he told PUSH.

“Pinaka naging highlight ng taon ko is yung Senior High. Dahil nga sa mga nangyari, sobrang positive nga ng nareceive na feedback para sa Senior High,” he added, saying he feels very grateful for how the viewers received his character, Tim, in the series.

“Siguro 'yung sa health ko kasi kahit nagkakasakit ako, nababawi siya ulit,” the 22-year-old actor continued when asked what other blessings he experienced.

Another Kapamilya primetime show star, Joao Constancio, also shared that being part of one of ABS-CBN's hit series starring Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano is his 2023 highlight.

“My highlight in 2023, I think for me, is to be part of Can't Buy Me Love,” he said. 

The singer-actor plays the role of Caroline Tiu's half-brother, Christian Tiu. Belle plays the role of Caroline in the series. He also often shares scenes with actress Ruffa Gutierrez, who plays his mother on the show.

Teen Clash and Hex Boyfriend actor, Aljon Mendoza, on the other hand, shared that some of the highlights of his 2023 include the chance to return to school.

“Nagkaroon ako ng Teen Clash, nakabalik ako sa pag0aaral at first time ko maghiking sa bundok. First time nagawa ko yun,” he happily said.

The Pinoy Big Brother alum explained that he is in his first year in college and is taking up a program in Architecture.

“I’m grateful na nandito ako ngayon kasi parte pa rin ako ng Kapamilya, nagbibigay pa rin ng serbisyo sa mga Pilipino na nanonood ng entertainment,” he said, adding that he’s happy to still be part of the Kapamilya network.

In His Mother’s Eyes star LA Santos also shared with PUSH how his movie with Diamond star Maricel Soriano and Roderick Paulate became one of the best parts of his 2023.

“The best story ko for this year is siyempre 'yung movie ko na In His Mother’s Eyes kasi talagang binigay ko po lahat sa movie na 'to,” he said. 

LA received positive reviews and praise for his first lead role.

The singer-turned-actor also added more things he is grateful for this year.

“Pinaka-thankful ako this year sa mga nakasama ko, sa mga lesson at sa happy memories na napagdaan,” he remarked.

Meanwhile, another former child star and Kapamilya actress, Andrea Brillantes, revealed how she’s planning to wrap up a very busy year for her.

“I’m going to wrap it up by spending some time with my family, di pa ako nakakspend ng time sa kanila kasi I'm very busy sa work and sa iba na nakatira,” Andrea revealed.

The 20-year-old actress continued, "I'm wrapping it up ng masaya and alam mo yun lahat ng natutunan ko dadalhin ko sa 2024. Bubuksan ko yung 2024 ng fresh.”
