Dreamscape Entertainment and Viu Philippines unveiled the full cast of What's Wrong with Secretary Kim? on Saturday, November 25.

"It’s time to meet the cast of #ViuOriginalAdaptation What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim? This highly-anticipated collaboration between ABS-CBN and Viu will be produced by Dreamscape Entertainment. Coming to you this 2024! #ABSCBNxViuxDreamscape #WhatsWrongWithSecretaryKimPH," the post read.

Aside from Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino who are headlining the series, among the cast members include Janice de Belen, Romnick Sarmenta, Pepe Herrera, Angeline Quinto, and Franco Laurel.

Joining the cast are Yves Flores, Gillian Vicencio, Kaori Oinuma, JC Alcantara, Cai Cortez, Phi Palmos, Kat Galang, Brian Sy, and Kim Won-shik.

Netizens were quick to react to the announcement of the full cast.

What's Wrong with Secretary Kim? follows the story of a charming yet self-absorbed vice-chairman whose perfect world is shaken when his highly competent secretary resigns. 

Determined to keep her, they both discover romantic feelings during the process.

In a recent interview with ABS-CBN News, Kim, who will play the role of Secretary Kim, expressed her elation to be part of the series, especially since she is a big K-Drama fan herself.

"I'm very happy to do this project and mag-land siya sa akin kasi I am also a fan ng mga [Korean] series di ba? During [the] pandemic, pinanood ko talaga 'to so I'm happy to be the Secretary Kim of the Philippines," she stated.

The actress added that she is looking forward to doing a new acting dynamic with Paulo — this time in a rom-com series after they both worked in Linlang.

"Dun sa Linlang sobrang intense, heavy minsan niyo lang kami makikitang nakangiti sa isa't isa. Ito pwede na kaming makapagbigay ng maraming smiles and all. So sobrang complete opposite siya which were very thankful din na sinuportahin kami sa Linlang and we are doing this prokect ngayon with Viu so sobrang happy and excited again to do a different dynamics with Paulo," Kim said.

Meanwhile, Paulo, who will play the role of the vice-chairman, remarked that he is ecstatic to work again with Viu for another Filipino remake of a K-Drama.

"I am very blessed and very grateful that they considered me Vice-Chairman. I am very excited to work with Viu again," he stated.
