Filipino-American beauty queen R'Bonney Gabriel delivered an empowering speech for her final walk as Miss Universe on Sunday, November 19 (Manila time) in El Salvador.

In her speech, R'Bonney highlighted how she utilized fashion to create an impact on the lives of many during her reign as Miss Universe.

"I believe that we create our own destiny through intentional action and hard work. Everyone is born with a gift and I am grateful that Miss Universe gave me an opportunity to share my gift for fashion to the world," she remarked.

"From collaborating with young designers to creating upcycled pieces, I aimed to demonstrate that fashion can be a force for good," she added.

The beauty queen also reminded her fans to fight for their dreams and to be strong amid adversity.

"We should never let adversity or hate stop us from our purpose. I would not be where I am today if I allowed dark moments to affect me. A powerful mind and voice will always triumph over negativity. So, find the strength to dream and never let a moment pass you by. The time is now. If not now, then when?" she stated.

R'Bonney concluded her reign as Miss Universe after she passed on the crown to Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua during the coronation night of the pageant on Sunday.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News recently, R'Bonney shared her plans after Miss Universe. She also said that she will continue to reside in New York and further grow her career in fashion.

"I definitely want to capitalize on this year and keep the ball rolling and I will stay in New York I was living there in the Miss Universe apartment and it's a huge fashion center so I want to do modeling of course and continue my sustainable fashion brand," she stated.

She also shared that she will continue doing speaking engagements not only in the US but also in the Philippines.

"I love public speaking a lot. I want to continue it in New York and also in Manila, Philippines. Split my time back and forth," she remarked.
