Actor Xian Lim has finally broken his silence amid rumors that he and his longtime girlfriend, actress Kim Chiu, have ended their relationship.

In a statement over the weekend, Xian began by talking about his main purpose in life, which is to be “a blessing to those around me” using his talent and craft.

“May it be the films that I make, the podcast that I create, the paintings I exhibit or even as simple as posting content in my social media accounts,” he said.

“It’s designed to find that one soul who see themselves in me. A misfit. A misfit in a society who clamors for perfection. A misfit in life, a black sheep if you will," he added.

On the rumors surrounding his personal life, the 34-year-old actor urged everyone to be mindful of what they believe and share online and to refrain from dragging his family and friends into the issue.

“Plenty of hearsay happening right now and I would like to ask everyone to be mindful of what you chose to believe in deceiving headlines and other information used to just pretend to know the whole story for personal gain and traction,” he said.

“I ask you to be mindful of what you share. Leave my family and friends out of this insignificant issue compared to what is happening in the world, our country, or even deep within ourselves," he added.

He then stressed: “I am in the entertainment industry but I am not here to entertain. I am here to express, that I am here to breathe life into the characters I play. I am here to tell you a story in whatever shape or form it may be.

“I am not here to explain and satisfy one’s curiosity. I am not here to ask for sympathy and spread hate. That is not who I am,” he added.

Kim has already spoken about the rumors surrounding her relationship with Xian during a media conference for her hit series “Linlang.”

"Grabe! Kayo talaga, baka nalilinlang lang kayo," she told reporters at the time.

“Okay naman po kami ni Xi. Mapanlinlang ang showbiz, pero maayos naman. Masaya naman po," she clarified.

Kim and Xian have been together since 2012. However, it was only in 2018 that the actress revealed their relationship status in an interview with host Boy Abunda.

Just last July, Kim penned a sweet message for Xian in honor of the actor’s 34th birthday.

“Happy Birthday to the person who holds my [heart],” Kim wrote on Instagram.

“Thank you for being you and always putting a smile on my face. Cheers to many more laughs to share, places to explore, things to solve, and many more, most especially birthdays to celebrate. I am always here for you, supporting you in everything you do!” she added.
