Petite dedicated her first-ever film project to her manager, the Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda.

After landing her first lead role in Broken Hearts Trip, comedian Petite admits she prayed hard for the project to make the cut into this year's Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).

Kasi naniniwala ako na sobrang nag-effort kami dito at komedyante ako so ang hirap sa akin mga heavy drama," ” she shared during the Broken Hearts Trip presscon held earlier this month.

Kaya watch na lang the whole movie, she added.

The dramedy film delves into the lives of five brokenhearted LGBTQ individuals who are given a chance to heal in some of the most beautiful places in the country. It was shot on location in some of the most scenic places in the Philippines like Kawasan Falls, Pagudpod, and Mt. Banahaw.

Also part of the cast are her co-stars Christian Bables, Andoy Ranay, Teejay Marquez, and Iyah Mina.

During the presscon, Petite revealed that her career is being managed by one of showbiz’s biggest stars and LGBT icons.

Kaya mo ba?’ Sabi ko kaya ko. Okay. Saka lang niya pinirmahan. So ganun siya.

When the film was officially announced as part of the MMFF, Petite admitted Vice was one of the happiest people supporting her.

Sabi niya, ‘Eh di very good. Ginalingan mo ba? Nakisama ka ba?’ Yun yung mga tanong niya. Ganun po si Vice. Kaya meme thank you, I love you,” she recalled.

Even when it comes to her personal life, Petite admitted that Vice is also one of her closest confidantes and trusted colleagues.

Huwag mong madaliin," she explained.

So hindi ganun kadali. Mahaba yung proseso. Pero ako ngayon ay am really okay and masayang masaya ako,” she added.

Broken Hearts Trip is written by Archie Del Mundo and produced by Benjie Cabrera, Omar Tolentino, Power Up Workpool Inc., BMC Films, and Smart Films.

Catch the film Broken Hearts Trip as part of the 2023 Metro Manila Film Festival starting December 25 in cinemas nationwide.
