Jake Cuenca wowed his fans and followers with his most recent photo shoot.
The 35-year-old Kapamilya actor shared the photos on his official Instagram account, showing him shirtless while showing off his bulging six-pack abs."Singularity," he wrote in one of his posts.
Other photos show close-up shots of his face while putting on a wide range of emotions — from anger to sadness to confusion.
"Got a lil emotional," Jake captioned the photos.
The actor credited celebrity photographer Andrei Suleik for the photos. He was styled by David Milan, and groomed by Mong Amado and Jun Jun Parcero.
Jake recently starred in the hit action series The Iron Heart, which concluded last month after a nearly one-year run. He played the role of Eros, the nemesis of Richard Gutierrez's character Apollo.
In a press conference for the show's finale, Jake described his character as his most challenging kontrabida role yet.
"I’m proud of the show because for many reasons the love story wasn’t the focal point. And you know its trickier that way kasi it’s harder to build chemistry with two guys, like a friendship, especially with me and Chard na we went through, we had to build the friendship and then break it, and then be very sensitive," he said.
"Sabi ko nga this is the most challenging kontrabida role I’ve done because I have to be sensitive with it. I couldn’t attack it, I cannot do the usual intense [acting]. So, they all really challenged me to do it in a different way—in a way I never see I could do... And also, our directors were challenging us. We’re doing a drama and certainly kasi ‘di ba we used to see people who were crying all the time. But the challenge was to make them cry but not show tears. And how do we do that? We have to find a way. We have to find a lot of different ways to do it,” he added.
He also said that he is proud of all the work that was put in to make The Iron Heart an unforgettable series.
“I will never forget the show. Kasi I’ve done a lot of shows, marami na akong nagawang teleserye, marami na akong pelikulang nagawa and the first sign of failure, the first sign of ‘Oh, it’s not doing well all of the sudden,’ na wala nang gana lahat ng tao to work. Here we went through that, but we also ride it together," he said.
"It wasn’t high the ratings all the way, we weren’t successful the moment we got in the air, we had to uplift each other, we had to be fan of our own show first and it spilled over and came across to the audiences. That’s why we’re so proud of the show because we really had to earn it,” he added.
