Exes Janella Salvador and Markus Paterson were reunited once again for the third birthday celebration of their son Jude Trevor over the weekend.

On Instagram, Markus shared a series of snaps from their son’s jungle-themed party, including a family photo showing himself with Janella and their son.

“Celebrating you, Jude. #JudeAt3,” he wrote in his post.

Janella’s mother and singer Jenine Desiderio also gave a glimpse of Jude’s birthday celebration, which was attended by their family and friends, including Janella’s Mars Ravelo’s: Darna co-star Jane de Leon.

On Jude’s actual birthday, both Janella and Markus took to Instagram to share touching tributes for their son.

“I blinked and suddenly I’m the mom of a 3-year-old — this delightful, charming, goofy, intelligent, curious, and talkative sunshine of a human being. I could go on and on with the adjectives… but hopefully we have an entire lifetime to show you that I’ll always be your #1 fan. Happy birthday, son,” Janella wrote.

For his part, Markus said, “You make every part of my life better, and you don’t even know it yet. Happy birthday my son. You’re 3 🤯.”

Janella and Markus confirmed their separation in September 2022, after months of speculations surrounding their relationship.

Despite rumors that they ended things on a bad note, Markus said he and Janella remain good friends and are committed to co-parenting their son Jude.

“We are co-parenting because obviously our priority is Jude,” he said, adding, “She’s an amazing mother and I’m trying to be an amazing father.”

Of Janella, he said, “I see the way she cares for Jude. I see the way she sacrifices her downtime from work just to spend time with him kasi ang bibo na niya ngayon. Hands-on talaga siya. I couldn’t ask for a better mother of my child."

He also expressed his appreciation for his co-parenting relationship with Janella, saying: “She’s an amazing co-parent."

“She never leaves me hanging talaga. Kapag gusto ko si Jude, magre-reply naman siya. Kapag tumawag ako, gusto ko makita si Jude, sasagot siya. I am super grateful for her existence,” he added.
