Thousands of Filipino fans flocked to the Big Dome for the first of the two-night shows of Irish band The Corrs in Manila on Saturday, October 21.

Performing for a jam-packed crowd, they sang some of their biggest hits during the concert, such as "So Young," "Runaway," "Summer Sunshine," "Breathless," and "What Can I Do," among others.

According to the band, they have always wanted to perform again in Manila, pointing out that the last time they had a show in the country was in 2001.

"We are so so happy to be back here. It's been quite a while like over 20 years. The welcome you gave us was unforgettable," lead singer Andrea Corr said.

Several Filipino celebrities were also spotted in attendance, including Judy Ann Santos, Ryan Agoncillo, Angelica Panganiban, and Glaiza De Castro.

The Corrs is set to perform for a second show at the Big Dome on Sunday, October 22. Tickets are still available via TicketNet outlets.

"These upcoming shows will be a full-circle moment for The Corrs as they return to the very same venue where they last performed in September of 2001. From longtime fans to younger aficionados who may very well be the same age as their children, the music of The Corrs remains timeless, especially to the Filipino people, who now have two chances to relive music history," concert organizer PULP Live World said in a press release ahead of the concert.

Composed of Andrea, Caroline Sharon, and Jim of the Corr family, the Irish family band was formed in 1990.

They have produced seven studio albums and achieved a staggering global record sales of 40 million to date.

In 2001, the band secured Grammy Award nominations across two distinct categories, earning recognition for their song "Breathless" in the "Best Pop Performance by a Duo/Group" category, and their track "Rebel Heart" in the "Best Pop Instrumental Performance" category.

In 2022, the band achieved an esteemed recognition at the Hot Press Irish Music Awards, where they were named "Best Pop Act."

In addition to their musical endeavors, the band demonstrates a strong commitment to philanthropy.

They actively participate in various charitable concerts, such as their performance at The Prince's Trust in 2004.
