More than two years since they went public with their relationship, Julia Barretto and Gerald Anderson are still going strong.  

In an interview with PUSH Bets Live during the ABS-CBN Ball last September 30, the couple opened up about their relationship and shared what they’re most grateful for about each other.

“Support. Pagmamahal, siyempre. Just being there always for each other siguro. Just being grateful for each other. Sa lahat ng pinagdaanan kumbaga, it only makes you stronger,” said Gerald.

“Me, I’m most grateful for Ge. There’s too many things but I think one of the things I’m most grateful for siguro ‘yung he really makes me a better person,” added Julia. “As cheesy at it sounds, it’s true. And he inspires me every day to achieve more, do more, and be more. Just be better in general.”

Julia and Gerald were first linked in 2019 shortly after the actor split from his ex-girlfriend Bea Alonzo. He and Julia — who worked together on the set of the Black Sheep film Between Maybes — confirmed their romance in March 2021.

Previously, Gerald said he is certain that Julia is “the one.” 

”You just know. Alam mo lang eh. You feel na may nagbabago sa'yo. You feel like mas nag-iiba 'yung priorities mo or mas naging malinaw 'yung priorities mo,” he said.

"Alam mo 'yung kasabihan na you just know. Ang hirap mag-explain eh, iba 'yung feel," he added.

He went on, “Everything na ginagawa ko ngayon, alam ko naman na malapit na 'yun eh. Kumbaga hindi na naman ako 25-year-old na trabaho muna, career muna. Genuinely, lahat ng ginagawa ko sa career ko, sa show business, sa pagiging businessman is leading up to that point."

In an interview with Karen Davila, Julia said that she feels very secure in her relationship with Gerald.

"The sense of security that I have, the sense of calm that I have… His kindness has really grounded me and has really motivated me to become a better person. He created such a safe and healthy environment in my life,” she said.

When asked about the possibility of them getting married soon, Julia pointed out that it's not for her to decide.

"I think that will come at the right time and I do feel very secure din in the relationship that we have and I am really happy. So I don't have anything to worry about," she said.
