The online world went abuzz after ABS-CBN film outlet Star Cinema shared a snapshot of KD Estrada and Alexa Ilacad abroad with one of the country's biggest box-office directors. 

On Sunday, January 29, Star posted on Twitter a photo of KD and Alexa posing for a photo with director Cathy Garcia-Molina in Hong Kong.

Fans were quick to speculate that the two stars and the director are in Hong Kong for a film project.

"Nakaka-excite naman po! Thank you Star Cinema for having KDLex with Direk Cathy!" one fan said.

"Salamat po for giving our #KDLex this project. We will support this the best way we can," one fan stated.

"Whatever it is, thank you so much Star Cinema. If movie man to' pa-reveal na po ng makapag-ipon na po for the block screening. Hihi," another fan commented.

KD and Alexa's team-up was formed following their stint in Pinoy Big Brother: Kumunity Season 10.

They previously worked with direk Cathy in the KUMUserye Don't Cry Janna in 2022.

The love team partner headlined their first iWantTFC series also in the same year, titled Run To Me. 

They are set to star in the musical play Walang Aray in February 2023.

In November 2022, Alexa admitted that she is exclusively dating KD but made it clear that they are not in a relationship yet.

"So wala pa naman po akong boyfriend... But I think obvious naman na, luma-love life na tayo ngayon. But wala pa po. Coming soon, abangan," Alexa said in a vlog back in November 2022.

At the same time, she also responded to a netizen on social media who refused to believe that they are just exclusively dating.

Alexa told the netizen: "Please, enough about this. Pagod na po akong ipaintindi sa inyo kung ano ibig sabihin ng exclusively dating. Gusto niyong aaminin ko na kami na, eh sa hindi pa nga po talaga."

"But KD and I have an understanding with each other and we are both secured. It’s really not that deep. And please, enough with threatening me na iiwan ako. Lagi nalang," she added.
