After an intense first season, South Korean drama The Glory revealed the premiere date for its second season last Wednesday, January 18. The official account of Netflix Korea shared a glimpse of what viewers should expect in the second season on their social media accounts.

The hit K-Drama series stars some of South Korea’s biggest actors such as Song Hye-kyo, Lee Do-hyun, and Lim Ji-yeon to name a few.

‘March 10th, the day where a beautiful desperate revenge begins again,” the translated caption reads.

Still cuts that were uploaded showed the continuation from the first season. The images feature Moon Dong Eun, portrayed by Song Hye-kyo, with tears in her eyes. Meanwhile, Joo Yeo Jeong, played by Lee Do-hyun, is captured looking at her with an intense expression.

The Glory tells the story of a former victim of brutal school violence who swears revenge on her bullies after becoming the elementary school homeroom teacher of her bully’s kid.

In an interview with South Korean media outlet News1, director Ahn Gil-ho told viewers what to expect from the characters in the second season.

“Dong Eun and Yeon Jin’s fight will officially begin, and the story of the perpetrators getting punished will be told dynamically in a way that will have your eyes glued to the screen. All the loose ends will be tied up,” the director teased.

The South Korean actress previously shared as to why she agreed to do this project. She noted how the story was something she’d always wanted to try as she is known for her other works such as Descendants of the Sun, Full House, and Encounter, among others.

“When I read the script, it was a genre and character that I had really been wanting to try,” she previously said.

The South Korean show has been part of Netflix Philippines’ Top 10 TV shows as of this writing. It premiered towards the end of December and has received positive reviews from all around the world due to the intensity and originality of the story.
