One year after sending her eldest daughter Lorin Gabriella to attend college at Pepperdine University, a Christian university in Malibu, California, Ruffa Gutierrez celebrated another milestone in her eldest daughter’s life as she turned 19.

On her Instagram account, Ruffa wrote:

“Hellooo, August!

In two days, my firstborn - Lorin Gabriella - turns nineteen. From the moment she was born, she stole my heart and changed my life forever.

In response to her mom’s post, Lorin left the comment, “Awww I love u so much.”

Mother and daughter have always shared a close relationship along with younger daughter Venice after Ruffa split with ex-husband Yilmaz Bektas in 2007 after four years of marriage.

Last June, Lorin and Venice flew to Turkey to be reunited with their father after 15 years of being estranged. They spent 12 days bonding and celebrating Father’s Day with the Turkish businessman. Last month, Lorin uploaded a vlog which chronicled their trip in Istanbul and seeing their Turkish family again.
