“Actually, bawat Bida Star season nag-le-level up talaga. Dati, we started from hosting only on the Kumu platform and then ginawang YouTube then ginawang Facebook. Now meron na talagang lahat and it’s on different platforms like Star Hunt and Star Magic and on Tiktok na siya ngayon.

Kasi until now ongoing pa rin ang audition process. So now every time we interview them, we still call them as auditionees,” she shared during the Bida Star Versus mediacon last August 22.

“Ngayon it’s called Bida Star Versus so from acting, singing, Gandang Naturally Fresh, and now it’s Versus. Kasi ang theme ay girls versus boys. And nadagdagan ng sobrang daming challenges like acting, impersonation, hosting, so talagang ma-cha-challenge ang ating mga auditionees now. At isa pa yun sa bago ngayon, may guaranteed guesting na sila sa PIE channel shows,” she added.

Aside from acting opportunities, the winner of Bida Star Versus also gets to take home an ABS-CBN management contract, P50,000, a Star Magic workshop scholarship, and guest appearances on the highest viewed shows on ABS-CBN.

Missing from their original lineup is Karina’s perennial love team partner Aljon Mendoza. But the 20-year-old actress was quick to deny that this change means the breakup of their onscreen partnership.

I think now ang pinaka nakakatuwa is Star Hunt, Star Magic, and ABS-CBN is actually experimenting na. Talagang hindi na siya yung katulad ng dati na may mainstay love teams, ganyan. Ngayon, parang ini-explore na yung side na parang Korean dramas na puwedeng i-partner kung kanino man but still nandun pa din yung spark, yung passion, and yung friendship.

“So kami ni Aljon we really don’t have any problems and I believe he’s happy with where he is, yung path niya, and nag-uusap pa rin naman kami.
