Andrea Brillantes recently made an appearance on Karen Davila’s YouTube vlog which was uploaded last Saturday, July 9.

The 19-year-old Kapamilya star recalled how she began her acting career at such a young age.

Ever since she was a little girl, Andrea’s mother hoped that she would become an actress––something her mother didn’t get to do for herself. At the age of four years old, Andrea auditioned for a role but failed to get it as she was too shy to answer the questions thrown at her.

“Akala ni mama, wala na akong chance. Baka cute lang ako baka pangarap lang niya talaga,” she revealed.

Three years after her failed attempt in entering the showbiz industry, Andrea tried again. At that time, she was already more confident and prepared. At seven years old, she became part of the cast of the children’s variety show, Goin’ Bulilit.

Soon enough, she became the breadwinner of her family after getting acting projects left and right. She revealed how at such a young age, she already knows the struggle of earning money and making sure there was food on their table.

Andrea admitted that she felt a little jealous towards her other friends in show business as they were richer than her as they could afford the things that she also wanted back then but couldn’t due to financial constraints.

The actress acknowledged that she matured earlier than most of her peers. At 15 years old, she started having a crisis. During those times, the actress shared how she would get bashers because of her ‘baby talk’ that went viral recently.

She shared that she doesn’t get offended when people bash her for it as she knows that she can’t control her voice.
