HYBE's first girl group Le Sserafim through its label Source Music made their debut on May 2, Monday.

On the same day, the girl group released their debut EP album called Fearless.

The group is a mix of Korean and Japanese members. Chae-won, Yun-jin, Garam, and Eun-chae are Koreans. Meanwhile, Sakura and Kazuha are Japanese.

"It feels like we are destined to be together. I’m glad my hard work paid off, and we’ll continue to give good performances,” member Yun-jin said in an interview with The Korea Herald.

According to Source Music, Le Sserafim is an "anagram of the words 'I'M FEARLESS.'

"The name captures the group’s self-confidence and iron will as they go out into the world fearlessly and unwavering before the watchful eyes of the world," Source Music said on its website.

"It is like an incantation to guarantee their success on the merit of their unbreakable poise and strength," the label added.

Members Chae-won and Sakura were former bandmates in IZ*ONE.

Sakura admitted that she feels pressured as this is not the first time she debuted in a girl group.

“Since this is my third group to debut, it would be a lie if I said I was not pressured at all. I felt that I should showcase the better version of myself. But I believe this kind of pressure is helping me to grow, too. Just like the message of our debut track, ‘Fearless,’ our members focus on what we can do right now instead of being caught up in the judgments of others,” Sakura said at their press conference, according to a report by Korea Times.

The group released the official music video of their first single off their EP titled "Fearless" on the day they debuted. The video has already gained more than 21 million views as of this writing.

Aside from :Fearless”, their debut EP is composed of five tracks including "The World Is My Oyster," "Blue Flame," "The Great Mermaid," and "Sour Grapes."

HYBE is the mother company of BTS's label Big Hit Music.
