The mother of Jake Zyrus, Raquel Pempengco, sought the help of her son following the death of her mom and her brother.

Jake’s uncle Robert Pineda Relucio died three days after grandmother Teopista “Tess" Pineda Relucio passed away. Jake’s grandmother died last Sunday, April 3, while his uncle died on Wednesday, April 6.

His mom Raquel told PEP.ph in an interview that his uncle died after figuring in a motorcycle accident which resulted in injuries.

Calling him by his old name Charice Pempengco, his mom revealed that Jake hasn’t reached out to her since the death of his grandmother.

“Wala pang paramdam si Charice hanggang ngayon,” Raquel said.

“Need ko talaga ngayon ang tulong. Namatay naman ang kapatid ko na nagbabantay sa nanay ko. Kaninang umaga lang siya namatay,” she added.

Raquel said she’s asking for Jake’s help because she is the only one her family members rely on.

“Tulungan niya sana ako at hindi ko kakayanin. Ako lang ang inaasahan ng pamilya ko,” she remarked.

Meanwhile, Jake’s mom said those who wish to offer financial assistance for the cremation of her mother and brother can do so by sending in money through this number: 09956497143.

His ascent to stardom became even more possible through Oprah Winfrey and David Foster.

He has worked with some of the biggest names as Charice Pempengco and has appeared in numerous TV shows here and abroad.

In 2013, he came out as a lesbian and decided to pursue gender transition in 2017.
