More than a year after she gave birth to her son Amari, actress Coleen Garcia has bounced back into shape, surprising her social media followers with a bikini photo on Wednesday, April 27.

The snap, which has earned hundreds of thousands of "likes" on Instagram, shows Coleen flaunting her fit body in a two-piece swimsuit while on a vacation with her family in Amanpulo, Palawan.

Aside from her swimsuit photo, the actress also shared snaps showing off her impressively toned abs, which she achieved through discipline and lots of hard work, said her husband Billy Crawford.

"'Yung na kakahiya tabihan ang asawa dahil walang wala ako niyan! You worked so hard and I’m so proud of you, sacrificing and continuously working hard to achieve the body you want! Nadamay na nga ako sa lagree mo eh! But again you look amazing Mommy. Love you so so much! BRAVO, my everything," said Billy.

In an interview with magazine Mega, Coleen got candid about her insecurities after getting pregnant and giving birth to their son Amari in 2020.

“Many would tell me it’s not as bad, but until now I still can’t fit in most of my clothes. So I still feel it. People don’t see my stretch marks and loose skin unless they come close to me, but I see them every day. It’s not so much what other people think, but really how I feel, and right now I don’t feel 100% yet, but I’m also not rushing or pressuring myself,” she said.

“I’ll probably never look the way I want to, but I’ve come to terms with it. And I’m allowed to feel bad about it sometimes, as long as I pick myself back up.”

She also shared her postpartum workout routine, which involves only light exercises and moves that help her improve mobility.

"I do simple workouts that only require bodyweight or light weights, and they’re more on mobility exercises that loosen up my tight muscles. I have to do more work on strengthening my pelvic floor muscles since childbirth messed that up. I focus on having good form above several reps and heaviness of weights. Recovery is also important, so I give myself more than enough time and room to breathe and relax," she said.
