The wait is over for fans of “Pop Punk Queen” Avril Lavigne as the singer-songwriter has finally released her seventh studio album called Love Sux. This comeback album comes after the release of her sixth one Head Over Water in February of 2019.

The new album also coincided with the 20th anniversary of Avril’s debut studio albumLet Go that was released in 2002. In an interview with Good Morning America, she said, “Yes, this year marks the 20th anniversary since my first album, which I feel like it’s gone by so fast but I’m really grateful to still be here and making music. This is my seventh record and I’m still having so much fun, and I’m looking forward to going out on tour this year.”

Love Sux also marked Avril’s debut under DTA Records, the record label of American artist and Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker. It features 12 tracks including the single “Bite Me”, whose music video has over 18 million views on YouTube as of this writing. It was released last November 2021, and featured Travis Barker.

My band, crew and I have been working so hard to bring this tour worldwide and are completely bummed out. Please everybody take care of yourselves and stay healthy. You’re in my thoughts and prayers and we are hoping to announce rescheduled shows soon.”
