During their romantic dinner at home, Neil also presented his wife with their wedding rings for the first time. During their nuptials presided over by Taguig Mayor Lito Cayetano, the couple did not yet have their official rings and had to borrow Neil’s son's ring and Angel’s engagement ring for the ceremony.

Although the couple had been friends since 2011, Angel first admitted that she started dating Neil in 2017 but the couple only went public with their relationship the following year. They got engaged in 2019 and were originally scheduled to tie the knot in November 2020 but ended up postponing it due to the pandemic. They finally revealed they got married on August 7, 2021 after moving into their new home in the south.
