In what could be the biggest surprise in Korean entertainment before 2022 ends, Dispatch dropped a bombshell about South Korea’s darling IU and Doctor Stranger actor Lee Jong-suk entering the dating scene. 

On Saturday, December 31, Dispatch reported that IU and Lee Jong-suk have been dating for four months now. 

Dispatch also reported that the two spent their vacation together in Nagoya, Japan, with photos from the airport to support their claims.

A few hours later, Jong-suk’s agency, HighZium Studio, confirmed the report by releasing a statement. 

“Actor Lee Jong Suk and IU recently progressed from being close acquaintances into being a couple, and they are maintaining a serious relationship,” the agency said. 

“Please show lots of support so they can continue their beautiful relationship. Thank you,” it added.

IU and Lee Jong-suk met on the music program Inkigayo ten years ago.

Dubbed in South Korea as the Nation’s Little Sister, IU’s hits include “This Right Now,” “BBIBBI,” “Blueming,” and “eight,” among others.

Meanwhile, Lee Jong-Suk is known for his roles in hit K-Dramas such as W, While You Were Sleeping, Doctor Stranger, and Pinocchio among others.
