KaladKaren took a trip down memory lane and reacted to her first viral video five years ago. In the video, KaladKaren did an impersonation of ABS-CBN broadcaster Karen Davila which went viral on social media and launched her career as KalakdKaren.

"Ako po si KaladKaren Davila at ito ang the correspondents. That was me five years ago. Diyan po ipinanganak si KaladKaren. Ang bilis na panahon ano?" she said in her reaction video on TikTok.

KaladKaren relayed that following her viral video in 2017, it gave her opportunities but at the same time, there were also people who did not believe in her.

"Although that opened a lot of opportunities and doors for me, abay siyempre marami rin pong hindi naniwala sa akin. Sabi nila '15 minutes of fame mo lang 'yan. Hanggang diyan ka na lang, hindi ka sisikat.' Eh hindi naman talaga ako sikat and hindi ako superstar pero to be honest with you, I am very proud of what I have achieved from that day until today," she stated.

KaladKaren then shared words of encouragement to those who were doubting themselves.

"I'm sure marami rin po sa inyo na nakakaramdam na underestimated. Sometimes, you doubt yourselves kung kaya niyo ba talaga ang ginagawa ninyo sa career niyo. Alam niyo deadma na sa sasabihin ng iba. Just focus on your goal and do whatever it is that makes you happy. And naniniwala po talaga ako kahit anong mangyari, there's always a place for the one that's good," she said.

KaladKaren added, "So laban lang nang laban mga dear. One day magbubunga rin lahat ng pinaghirapan niyo."

Back in May this year, KaladKaren fulfilled her dream of having her own home and she invited Karen Davila to have a tour of her house.

In an interview with Karen in her YouTube vlog during the house tour, KaladKaren expressed her gratitude to the broadcaster for supporting her talent throughout the years.

"I’m very happy where I am at the moment. I’m also very thankful sa inyo rin po. Kung hindi po dahil sa inyo, hindi ko makukuha ‘yung mga pangarap ko sa buhay. Kasi pwede mo naman akong i-shutdown when I was starting but you supported me," Kaladkaren told Karen.

She added, "Kung hindi naman dahil sa support mo at sa mga taong tumulong sa’kin along the way hindi ko makukuha ’tong kung anong meron ako ngayon."

KaladKaren also told the TV Patrol anchor that she was her first visitor in her new home. "Ang saya, tsaka ikaw pa ‘yung una kong bisita, nauna ka pa sa nanay ko," she said.

On what was her greatest realization in her journey, KaladKaren relayed, "Kung meron man akong isang natutunan, give and you will receive. Let’s be helpful and let’s always be grateful to all the things that we receive in life kasi one day hindi mo alam ikaw din ‘yung mangangailangan."

The comedienne shared that it was her dream to have her own home.

"Simula po nung bata kami, nakikitira kami sa lola namin. We didn't have our own house. Both my parents were OFWs, so kami, pinaalaga kami roon sa lolo’t lola ko while they were abroad. Never kaming nagkaroon ng sariling bahay until nung high school ako," the comedienne relayed.

She added, "So, lumipat kami sa Bulacan, my parents lived there ta's sabi ko sa sarili ko na once na makapagtrabaho ako, makapag-ipon ako ng pera, bibili ako ng sarili kong bahay."
