“Finally, here at 부산국제영화제 Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) and Asian Contents & Film Market, my first international work trip post-FDCP. So many things have happened in the last two months, and to be honest, I'm feeling a bit queasy and quite nervous. Maybe it's the uncertainty or the excitement of this new journey,” she shared.

Despite no longer being a public servant, Liza maintained that she will be willing to help young producers in her capacity in her new role. She added that she still has that same passion and drive when she was the FDCP chair.

“As I officially take on the next chapter of my life, still doing what I love–championing Philippine cinema in the global space–I take with me the hopes and dreams of the Filipino filmmakers I now represent to make global quality projects that will take us to the next level,” she added.

Liza promised the filmmakers she represented for the film festival that she will be engaging with possible partners and collaborate with local and international stakeholders to secure the resources they need.

Liza was replaced by Tirso Cruz III as the FDCP chair following the appointment of President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. back in July.
