Actress and mother Lotlot de Leon shared her opinion on Janine Gutierrez’s rumored relationship with Paulo Avelino during the finale media conference of series Love in 40 Days.

As a mother, Lotlot revealed that she only wants what’s best for her children and she fully supports whoever they want to be with.

“My daughter can speak for herself. She can speak for herself. She can explain. Ako naman as a mom, I just want her to be happy. I will always pray for my children to be with the right partners, yung tama yung maging choice nila,” she shared.

Rumors on social media have Janine and Paulo have romantically involved with one another. Being her eldest child, Lotlot added that Janine already knows what she’s doing.

“Janine is old enough to decide for herself. I trust Janine. Whatever will make my children happy. Janine [is] my eldest. Kung ano man ang magpapasaya sa puso niya, I’m in full support of that,” she said.

The 51-year-old actress added that her daughter doesn’t need to ask for her permission to date who she wants.

“Hindi naman na kailangan pa magpaalam sa 'kin ng anak ko. May tiwala naman ako sa kaniya. Kung ano 'yung sa palagay niyang makakabuti para sa kaniya, at kung saan siya masaya, okay na okay ako dun,” Lotlot revealed.

Lotlot also worked with Paulo for the series Marry You, Marry Me back in 2021. She shared that while they were working on set, she saw how kind the actor was.

Janine and Paulo have co-starred in the film Ngayon Kaya and Marry You, Marry Me.
