After revealing through her recent vlog that she and longtime boyfriend Dave Lamar secretly got married last year, Morissette Amon shared more highlights from her wedding in her most recent social media post. The 25-year-old singer revealed two important moments that weren’t shown in their wedding video.
After revealing through her recent vlog that she and longtime boyfriend Dave Lamar secretly got married last year, Morissette Amon shared more highlights from her wedding in her most recent social media post. The 25-year-old singer revealed two important moments that weren’t shown in their wedding video.
She wrote, “backstory 1: when our wedding team told us to bring a gift for each other and present this right before the ceremony, I immediately knew what I wanted to give my then-fiancé; the rings and necklace were Dave's gifts to me during the first round of our relationship (one ring he got from his dear Grandma, the other ring we both had as like ‘promise rings’, and the necklace he had the other half to), and these two leather notebooks which were his journals/letters during the time we were apart. In 2019 when we officially got back together, he gave me these notebooks and I read every page and was instantly on a time machine. I decided to return these items because I now am free from the past… and ready to take on the future, with this new chapter in our lives.”

“God has always made Himself known in our relationship, even before we knew it. He allowed for us to meet, connect through music, grow our friendship, realized how much we wanted each other, challenged us, separated us, grew on our own, brought us back, challenged each other, realized how much we needed each other, and blessed us the strength to fight for our love... if anything, yes there were moments we wanted to give up, but God was with us every step of the way and actually built our foundation. up until our wedding day, the rain poured and poured... but never did we feel discouraged because I take it as God reminding us how we got through everything and made it to where we are now. The rain was a blessing because not only did it make the event feel like a movie, but it brought me and DJ closer together under God's umbrella. and of course, we praised and rejoiced Him under every raindrop of His blessing! 🕊♪+♬ “
