It’s been more than 25 years since they were last paired together in the inspirational film Mangarap Ka and former teen love team partners Mark Anthony Fernandez and Claudine Barretto said they couldn’t be happier to work with each other again onscreen in the Vivamax Original film Deception.

“Sabi ko this must be big, this must be another next best thing because it’s Claudine Barretto. Sobrang na-excite ako, natuwa. Sabi ko matutuloy na rin sa wakas. Tapos itong script na ‘to, nung binabasa ko okay siya. Nung shinu-shoot namin lalo siyang mas okay. So sabi ko medyo jackpot, yun yung naramdaman ko,” Mark said during the Deception digital media conference.

Claudine said fans of their love team in the ‘90s will finally see their wish come true this month.

“Feeling ko napaka-suwerte ko kasi magiging happy talaga yung mga fans namin na magkasama kami. Ito na yung inaantay nila ng ilang taon. So finally nangyari na. Ang gusto kong makita ng mga fans sa amin ni Mark na we are professionals na kahit anong role kaya naming gawin. Ito kasing pelikulang ito hindi siya yung love story na nakakakilig pero sobrang ganda and talagang susubaybayan ng tao kasi ibang iba naman siya sa inaakala ng tao na gagawin naming pelikula ni Mark,” Claudine explained.

In the film, Mark and Claudine play a married couple whose lives take a tragic twist when a crime is committed. Claudine shared that the digital film is just the start of more possible projects for her and Mark togeyher. “Siguro after nitong Deception, pag nagustuhan ng tao eh papatuloy na namin sa telebisyon,” she added.
