Earlier this week, newlywed couple Angel Locsin and Neil Arce revealed that they were releasing a vlog giving their fans a virtual peek into their new marital home. Angel wrote, “Two years in this pandemic. Looking back now, we can't help but be proud of us all. We're still here. Getting along, as we imagine ourselves running away with our loved ones, for fun and spontaneity. While we try our best to follow rules, we admit we crave human connection today more than ever.

Angel wrote, “Two years in this pandemic. Looking back now, we can't help but be proud of us all. We're still here. Getting along, as we imagine ourselves running away with our loved ones, for fun and spontaneity. While we try our best to follow rules, we admit we crave human connection today more than ever.
“So, we had this idea to use our platforms and break this invincible wall surrounding us. We decided to open the doors of our home and let you in VIRTUALLY. By sharing our journey, we hope you'd allow us to connect with you, and let us be part of your journey as well.”

The 36-year-old actress and Iba Yan host, also shared the experience of working on making their new house into a home along with her husband. She wrote, “For the past months, it's been our project to turn our new house into a home. Definitely not as easy (haha) as we thought it would be, BUT it was worthwhile! Natutunan namin how to compromise and negotiate our own individual styles, and make OUR touches become more visible in every area.”

“Ang tagal namin naghanap. Siyempre dapat kumportable kami, okay sa locations ng trabaho namin, kaya ng budget. Nung akala namin wala na kaming mapipiling bahay, dumating naman itong napakalaking blessing na ‘to at in-offer naman ito nung family ni Neil. Ayaw na sana namin tanggapin. Siyempre nakakahiya eh. Ayaw namin umasa pero since only child itong asawa ko,” Angel shared.

Having to decorate their new home was a project that the couple were happy to take. Aside from figuring out how to clean all the spaces, they also admit to having to deal with termite problems and fixing the pipes. “At first ang saya, finally may bahay na kami di ba? Pagdating dito, paano tayo magsisimula? Mahirap din ah kasi ang lakas ng personality ni Neil, ako rin naman meron akong sariling style. Sinong mananalo sa inyo? Ito ang aming simpleng project. Well hindi naman kami mga designers. We decided na kami muna mag-design ng bahay. Mas tipid din (laughs). Except for the bedroom kasi may mga kailangan kami mga furniture na i-restore so we asked our friend’s help, Celine from Simbulan para tulungan niya kami dun,” Angel said.

The couple’s living room area was also decorated with Angel’s personal books taken from her condo when she was single as well as the couple’s gifts to each other when they were still dating.

Nung kinasal kami, dito lang kami nag-reception sa bahay. I made sure to request na kung ano man yung ilalagay na pang-decoration, hindi yung mga bulaklak na nalalanta the next day di ba. Mahilig ako magbasa ng libro. Mga dating gamit ko ito sa condo. Yung mga libro namin dito The Godfather and Alfred Hitchcock.
