JC Intal was recently interviewed by Jing Castaneda in a #PamilyaTalks segment about concluding his basketball career and what he plans on venturing into.

JC started out playing college basketball for the Ateneo Blue Eagles in 2002. When he was a student, he bagged the nickname ‘The Rocket’ for winning a Slam Dunk contest in 2003. Soon after he graduated, he was drafted into the PBA where he played for a few teams over the years.

For the past three years, JC has been gaining an interest in the arts through a friend’s influence. He shared that art is something he wanted to get into like how he did with basketball.

For now, JC’s primary focus is his family but he is still open to playing basketball in recreation leagues.

JC primarily grew up being around just boys so raising two girls with wife Bianca Gonzalez was a challenge for him. Between him and Bianca, JC said that he plays the good cop while the latter is the bad cop.

While he joked about wanting two boys, having two male dogs at the moment is enough for him.

JC is a hands-on dad to his two daughters aged six and two respectively. From tying their hair to giving them baths, he spends a lot of time bonding with his kids especially when community quarantine was imposed last year.
