Ji-hyun plays the role of Ashin in Kingdom. Her character appeared in the finale of the second season but her story has yet to be told.

The actress relayed that when she was preparing for her role, she focused on interpreting the concept of "han" which her character in the series feels. "Han" is a Korean concept of an emotion which is the same as anger.
