Ria Atayde and Jake Cuenca are set to co-star in an upcoming episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya.

The episode, directed by Dado Lumibao, follows the story of Janice (Ria), the girlfriend-turned-wife of Eddie (Jake) who struggles to win the approval of her mother-in-law, played by veteran actress Malou de Guzman.

Ahead of its Saturday (February 6) airing, Ria, in an Instagram post, shared that she had the best time working with Jake in the episode.

"Although we don’t talk or hang out much, @juancarloscuenca and I have actually been good friends for ages—when we were just starting to figure out who we were and way before I started acting. One of the things I always looked forward to, as I entered the industry, was working with him. Finally had the chance to do so and man, I had the best time! Work didn’t feel like work and it was just that much easier and lighter because I was so comfortable and he was so collaborative," she said.

"Thank you Cuenky! Our episode was really such a trip... with Dado pa as our captain and Tita Malou with us. Solid!" she added.

Aside from their MMK episode, Ria and Jake are also set to co-star in the upcoming ABS-CBN drama Viral.

Viral will also be directed by Dado, alongside Froy Allan Leonardo, with whom he last collaborated on the primetime series The Killer Bride, starring Maja Salvador.

Aside from Ria and Jake, Viral’s cast members include Charlie Dizon, Dimples Romana, Louise Abuel, Vance Larena, Aljon Mendoza, Markus Paterson, Jameson Blake, Karina Bautista, and Kaila Estrada.

Viral will be seen on Kapamilya Channel (cable), Kapamilya Online Live (free live-streaming), iWant TFC (on-demand streaming), and A2Z Channel 11 (free and digital TV in Mega Manila).
